This is affirmed to be the last will & Testament of Margaret Higgins als Creer of the town aforesd. being in good health & of sound & perfect memory at the making hereof.
She departed this life the 6th of Octbr 1747
First she committed her Soul to God & Body to Christian Burial
Item She left & bequeathed to her son John Higgins six yards of Linnen & a chest, if ever he came to the Island for them, if not, she ordered that her Grandson John Callow should have them.
Item she left to her sd Grandson John Callow, her best Rugg blankett & sheet together with three yards of Linnen & ordered the things bequeathed to her son John Higgins should be left in the care of John Callow aforesd.
Item she left to her Grandaur Catharin Kneal all her linen & woollen apparel with a chest.
Item She left to Margaret Smith a Spinning Wheel, which Catharin Kneal her sd Grand Daur is to have after the Death of the sd Margaret Smith.
Item, she left to William, Philip & Catharin Kneal her grand children four yards of Linnen being the remainder of the ???
Item she left to Philip Higgins a Door which she had lent him.
Item she left sixpence apiece legacy to Thomas Callister & Margaret Kelly,
And lastly she nominated & appointed her son Thos Higgins Sole Executor of all the rest of her goods of what kind soever.

At a Consistory court in KK Braddan Oct 21 1747 Thomas Higgins Son of the Testatrix is Sworn Executor for the payment of the Debts & Legacys according to Law & hath given pledges Namely Mr Robt Brown & Wm Graham Solvit 12d Probatum Est Edv: Moore
