To his honour Thomas Kneen esq, Deemster, and a judge of the said division etc etc The humble petition of Emily Mylroie of Agneash in the parish of Lonan, widow
Showeth that
1. your petitioner’s husband Thomas Mylroie, late of Agneash, in the parish of Lonan, miner, departed this life on or about the 17th day of May 1900 intestate
2. it is necessary that administration of the estate and effects of the deceased be granted
Wherefore your petitioner humbly prays a hearing hereof and that your honour should be pleased to grant administration of the estate and effects of the said Thomas Mylroie deceased to your petitioner or to some fit and proper person and your petitioner will ever pray etc etc T.W.Cain Advocate for petitioner
Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a Court to be held at Douglas on Wednesday the 4th day of July 1900 whereof all proper parties and persons to have due notice. Given at Douglas this 25th day of July 1900. Thomas Kneen

Upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties or their advocates and it being proved that Thomas Mylroie, late of Agneash in the parish of Lonan, miner, on or about the 27th day of March 1900 departed this life and intestate
This Court hath decreed Emily Mylroie of Agneash aforesaid, widow, the relict of the deceased, administrator of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the deceased and accordingly she is sworn well and truly to administer the said estate and effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said estate and effects will extend and the law bind her and distributing the residue according to law and to return to the proper Registry a full, true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said estate and effects with an accurate account of her administration thereof when lawfully required. - Agneash
- Thomas was the son of Clague Mylroie & Ann Lewney. He was baptised 1844 and like all the men in his family, he was a miner
- He was married first to Ann Jane Kneale, who died 5 years later in 1872. No children
- He married Emily Clague, in 1889 and had six children, the youngest not quite two years of age when Thomas died

- Jessie Robina 1896-1901
- John Thomas 1899
- Ann Jane was living with her mother in the 1911 census, and Caesar Clague was working nearby. Jessie Robina had died
- Of the other three, John Thomas must have died since he was too young not to be at home in 1911, and the two oldest daughters were probably in service in the UK
