The humble petition of Daniel Mylroi of the Parish of Lonan.
Sheweth that your petitioner asfo Mary Ann Mylroi formerly Teare, departed this life on the 3rd day of May 1871 intestate.
That your petitioner is desirous of obtaining administration of the Estate of the said Mary Ann Mylroi.
Wherefore petitioner humbly prays hearing hereof and that your Worship may be pleased to grant administration of the Estate of the said Mary Ann Mylroi to your petitioner in due form of law And petitioner will ever pray.. [signed] Claude [Faravell?] for pet'n O
rdered that this petition do come on to be heard at an Ecclesiastical Court to be held at Douglas on Friday the 19th day of December 1873, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon whereof all proper parties and persons are to have due and lawful notice. At an Ecclesiastical Court held at Douglas on the 19th day of December 1873. Upon hearing this Petition in the presence of the Parties or their Advocates and It being proved that Mary Ann Mylroi, late of Laxey in the Parish of Lonan, on or about the 3rd day of May 1871, departed this life intestate This Court hath decreed Daniel Mylroi, the husband of the said deceased administrator of all and singular the personal estate and effects of said deceased, and accordingly, he is sworn well and truly to administer the said estate and effects of the said deceased by paying her just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said estate and effects will extend and the law bind him and distributing the residue thereof according to law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full, true and perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of his administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required, and to these ends he hath given pledges, namely, James Lawson, of Laxey in the parish of Lonan and John Mylroi of Laxey in the parish of Lonan, who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in presence of the Court. Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this day granted Letters of administration of the personal estate of Mary Ann Mylroi late of Laxey in the parish of Lonan deceased to Daniel Mylroi her husband.
And whereas James Lawson of Laxey in the parish of Lonan and John Mylroi of Laxey in the parish of Lonan have agreed to become pledges for the due and faithful administration of the said estate by the said Daniel Mylroi according to Law.
Now, know all men by these presents, that we, the said James Lawson and John Mylroi hereby bind and oblige ourselves, jointly and severally, and our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents as pledges for the said Daniel Mylroi that he shall well and truly administer, all and singular, the personal estate and effects of the said deceased according to Law. And in his default we bind ourselves, and each of us, our heirs, executors, and administrators, to be answerable and responsible for the whole to the said Court, and to all parties interested in the said estate and effects, or the administration thereof, in the place and stead of the said Daniel Mylroi. We the undersigned James Lawson of Lonan and Mary Lawson formerly Mylroi my wife and Joseph Cannell of Lonan and Catherine Cannell formerly Mylroi his my wife next of kin of Mary Ann Mylroi wife of Daniel Mylroi of Lonan, who departed this life on 3 May 1871 do hereby admit to have received notice of a petition to be brought at an Ecclesiastical Court to be holden in Douglas on 19 December 1873 by the said Daniel Mylroi for administration of the estate of the said Mary Ann Mylroi and we do hereby consent to administration of her estate being granted to the said Daniel Mylroi this 18 December 1873. At an Ecclesiastical Court held at Douglas on the 19th of December 1873. John Mylroi the subscrbing witness to the [../..] of the foregoing instrument made oath on the Holy Evangelists that Ann Corlett, Robert Corleett, Mary Lawson, Catherine Cannell and Joseph Cannell the executing parties thereto respectively signed the same in his presence. - Mary Ann Teare married Daniel Mylroie in Patrick in 1829, and they had 8 children although it is clear that only 4 of their 8 children were still alive n 1871 - John, Mary Ann, Ann & Catherine
- John 1830, a builder, married Sarah Ball. He died a few days after his father
- Mary Ann 1833, had a child out of wedlock, married James Lawson, a miner
- Ann, no baptismal record, 1836ish married Robert Corlett, a miner

- Her husband Daniel was a shoemaker by trade but did very well in his business life. He had property and was a money lender
- After Mary Ann died in 1871, Daniel remarried, to Jane Lowry 1874
- Daniel's will reveals that his daughter Mary Ann had died by then, and that Ann and Catherine are his main legatees
- Son John died within days of his father, and John's son Thomas died within months after that
